WHY GO

One of Africa’s most underrated safari destinations, with extraordinary wildlife, beautiful wilderness areas and some of the best guiding on the continent. Zimbabwe offers a wonderfully authentic safari experience and excellent value compared with some of its neighbours.

WHEN TO GO

May–October is the main dry safari season, with wildlife increasingly concentrated around water sources as the season progresses. November–April brings greener landscapes, summer rains, excellent birding and fewer visitors. Victoria Falls is generally at its fullest from February–May, while lower water later in the year can offer better visibility of the falls themselves.

That’s where I come in. The best safari isn’t necessarily the most expensive one — it’s the one that matches how you want to travel.
